As thanksgiving weekend came to a close, Ohio State defeated University of Michigan in a chilling double OT . For the students attending OSU, this weekend was a time not only for appreciating family, but it was a time to celebrate the victory of our team. But as today, Monday, November 28th has rolled along I left class in the midst of saddening news on campus. A school shooter in Watts Hall. As of now, eight have been reported transported...and the shooter is still on the loose. I hope and pray that all of OSU will come together, in unity for a bigger cause this week + forevermore. They do not have any details on the shooter as of yet, but one thing I do wonder, being a student at OSU that doesn't really have that large of a friend group. Is he / was he depressed while attending school? I have seen the good and bad in the culture of Ohio State, from the amazing football team, prestigious graduates, to the drug + alcohol abuse and rape culture. But that is at every campus. For the shooter, what mentally caused this event to occur and how can we stop them from recurring as they do?
